
Grant Kang
Grant is the founder of Kang Intellectual Property Law, LLC and has been in private practice in the field of Intellectual Property Law since 1999. Prior to establishing this firm in 2007, Grant served for 5 years as the Chair for the Intellectual Property & Technology Practice Group at Husch & Eppenberger in Clayton, Missouri. From 1996-1999, he was in-house patent counsel for American Home Products and Bausch & Lomb, Inc. From 1992-1996 Grant honed his legal skills in private practice in St. Louis, Missouri and Washington, D.C. His proximity to the United States Patent and Trademark Office ("USPTO") in Washington D.C. enabled him to develop personal contacts with Patent Examiners and patent searchers in the USPTO. Grant is an adjunct professor at the Washington University School of Law, where he has taught Patent Drafting and The Evaluation and Management of Intellectual Property.
Grant's extensive experience includes patent prosecution, counseling and transactional work, as well as copyright and trademark law. With respect to patent prosecution, Grant 's areas of focus include the software, mechanical and electrical fields. His industries of concentration are automotive components, computer networking, software, all-in-one printer/fax/copier/scanner machines, and medical devices. Having served as both in-house and independent counsel, Grant takes pride in helping each business develop the most effective and practical solutions to intellectual property issues by evaluating them within the larger business context.

Greg Upchurch
Greg Upchurch's practice is concentrated in the areas of intellectual property litigation and licensing, as well as patent prosecution involving the electrical, mechanical, biomedical and software fields. He is an adjunct professor at Washington University Law School, where he teaches Intellectual Property Litigation and Technology Licensing. Greg is an accomplished trial attorney who has argued patent and trademark cases in all levels of the state and federal court systems. In addition, Greg is the author of a three-volume treatise on intellectual property litigation published by West Group, and numerous articles in a variety of legal publications. He has been listed in the Best Lawyers in America since 1997, and is past chair of the Legal Education Committee and the Editorial Board of the Missouri Bar. He is a recipient of the Missouri Bar President's Award, and was appointee to the Missouri Department of Higher Education in 2005 by Governor Matt Blunt. Greg is the founder and CEO of LegalMetric, Inc. a firm dedicated to the analysis of federal litigation.
